Marketing With A Heart
While you can read my much longer bio over at Life Transcendent LLC, Jenny prevailed upon me to give you all a brief intro…the things I do for my friends <sigh>.
For those of you familiar with the old FOX TV series "The X-Files", if Jenny is "Mulder" then I'm playing "Scully" (though Gillian Anderson is much cuter). With a background in the physical sciences (BS in Chemical Engineering, MS in Industrial Chemistry, an MBA, and a boat-load of computer skills) it's a wonder — and a long story — how I transitioned into the world of psychology, hypnotherapy, and now marketing.
Let's just say that it involves some hefty relativistic thinking, true unabashed wonder and curiosity about how the universe works, and a strong belief that somewhere the "physics" ends and the "meta" begins.
So why InTheSpirit Marketing? Not only do I train new therapists (and some experienced ones) in hypnosis, NLP, and other powerful tools, I also teach them how to build their practice. In fact, as an NLP Trainer I spend a fair amount of time (more than 25% of my time actually) mentoring new therapists (both hypnotherapists and licensed counselors) in how to work with clients and build successful, thriving therapy practices. As a result I've added separate seminars specifically geared for marketing and sales for therapists of all types.
And that's how I really got started here at InTheSpirit Marketing. Just like everything else I've done, it just grew out of wherever I was before.
I've got to say, I'm really excited to be partnering with Jenny Dickason and "InTheSpirit Marketing" to provide a much needed service to the community! Especially since the biggest area where I've seen new business get in trouble (my own included in the early days I'm sorry to say) is that they really don't have a clue when it comes to marketing. The may be ok (or even great) salespeople, and subject matter experts. But when it comes to marketing and strategy...<sigh>.
